Archived: SSO + Matrix Setup

Irregular Chat Single Sign-On (SSO) login allows members to access all community applications, websites, and data with a single login. The system uses a self-hosted Authentik instance for authentication.

Single sign-on (SSO) simplifies the login process by requiring members to authenticate just once to access various services and platforms across the community.

After you’ve been vouched in, the bot (or an admin) will provision your SSO account and DM you credentials. Save those credentials in a password manager.

Bitwarden is free and trusted; see the security guide for recommended password managers, or as a last resort use your browser’s built-in password manager.

The SSO landing page lists the services hosted by the community for the community.
